Major Kharif Crops of Haryana

Kharif crops in Haryana are sown in June - July and harvested in October - November. These crops require low temperature and low humidity. These crops are also called Savani crops as they e sown on the arrival of monsoon.

Rice

This is the second most important crop of Haryana after wheat. Rice is mostly cultivated in the North - Eastern and Central parts of the state.

The Geographical conditions required for the cultivation of rice are as follows:
